Research and development (R&D) is part of the legislative mandate
of the university and is based on the usual international standards.
Along with teaching, research is one of the supporting pillars of the University.
Under the motto "Local orientation – international integration", the primary task of the Liechtenstein
University is to positively influence the economic and social development of Liechtenstein
and to successfully integrate the available research know-how into the evolving European research zone. Institutes
