The exhibition of works from the Collections of the Reigning Prince
of Liechtenstein and of the State, the provision of new exhibition opportunities in public buildings,
the construction of the Museum of Fine Arts, the work of the Liechtenstein Art Society, the founding
of private galleries, cultural exchange projects with other countries, and last but not least the increasing
number of visual artists in Liechtenstein have continually driven the development in this artistic field.
The Schiftwechsel ("change of shift") Association represents the interests of artists and
organizes exhibitions. The School of Art, founded in
1993, is an extracurricular educational institution for children, young people, and adults. Its goal
is to promote as many creative talents and skills of people as possible and to help them develop their
personalities in a holistic manner. Within only a few
years, the Museum of Fine Arts has been able to establish an international reputation. In addition to
a lively exhibition program, the Museum of Fine Arts also offers the rare opportunity to experience
works of art from the Princely Collection. www.kunstmuseum.li
