Liechtenstein has been a member of the World Trade
Organization
(WTO) since 1 September 1995. The
World
Trade Organization, with headquarters
in Geneva, was founded on 1 January 1995 as the successor institution to the General Agreement on Tariffs
and Trade (GATT). The most important WTO agreements are: - Goods:

Trade in Services)

for the financial
services sector is GATS, which includes financial services. Liechtenstein participation in WTO is the
responsibility of the staff of the Mission of Liechtenstein in Geneva . In
