The State contributes significantly to the preservation of healthy
agriculture through various direct subsidies. Agriculture that is ecological and animal-friendly is
given special support. The Office
of Agriculture
is a counseling and information service and contact point for farmers and interested persons in connection
with agriculture in the Principality of Liechtenstein. It
is responsible for the execution of various agricultural laws and develops positions on agricultural
matters for the attention of the Government. The Office
of Forests, Nature and Land Management provides information
on all questions
concerning
forestry in Liechtenstein. It is also the contact point with respect to preservation of nature and landscape,
forest animals, hunting, protection against natural disasters, development of rural areas, and integral
rehabilitation of mountainous areas. It also undertakes scientific research and administers various
collections. |
