Mandate and services

The Liechtenstein Bankers Association was formed in 1969 by the three Liechtenstein banks existing at that time.

Since its formation, it has been safeguarding the interests of the associated banks towards the government, the authorities, the public, and national as well as international organisations and federations, and has coordinated the joint activities of the member banks .

Areas of work

All members of the Bankers' Association are banking institutions licensed in Liechtenstein. The supreme body is the General Meeting, which is composed of one representative from each member bank. The Executive Board is the executive committee, which is composed of eight members, chaired by the President. The Secretariat and its staff are responsible for managing the affairs of the Association. All 16 banks are members of the Bankers' Association.
