Mandate and services

The Liechtenstein Association of Auditors (WPV) is a body under public law. Its responsibilities are governed by the Business Regulations (PDF, 247.38 KB) Download als PDF-Datei of 31 August 1994 approved by the Government.

WPV is responsible for safeguarding the honor, the reputation, and the rights of auditors, as well as for monitoring their duties. Its sphere of activity also includes the promotion of the economic interests of its members.

Areas of work

Members of WPV are all natural persons and legal entities in possession of approval by the Government to conduct professional audits. For such persons and entities, membership in WPV is required by law. The highest organ is the Plenary Assembly, in which each regular member has a vote. The governing body is the Board, with five members.

Facts and figures

As of the last Plenary Assembly (April 2003), 28 legal entities, 18 natural persons, and 9 legal entities benefiting from the free movement of services were registered as professionally active members . 4 natural persons are included on the list as not professionally active.
