One of the great challenges of this era consists in how to both use and preserve natural resources. Sustainable environmental policy is therefore of the utmost importance.

The Ministry of Environmental Affairs, Land Use Planning, Agriculture and Forestry aims to protect the ecological assets and the landscape of our country, in order to preserve our natural environment, maintain the cultural identity and character of the Liechtenstein landscape, enable sensible tourism, sustain an attractive living space, and also to establish Liechtenstein's image as a role model with respect to the protection of nature and the environment.
