The globalization of the world economy has led to a close link between the world economy and the liberalization of international capital movements. Particularly in the financial services sector, the international element has therefore gained tremendous importance and is strengthened by the memberships of Liechtenstein and the monitoring activities of international bodies such as the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
