Oliver Stahl and Markus Goop won over the jury with their innovative business ideas. The founders of Früchtebox Express AG, Stahl and Goop are also behind the Snackbox Express product. Früchtebox Express delivers fresh fruit boxes directly to workplaces, while Snackbox Express is a type of mini kiosk for companies that allows employees to help themselves throughout the day.
Last year, the two entrepreneurs sold Snackbox Express to the Swiss vending machine operator Selecta. Since then, they have been selling the product through the newly founded Snack Service AG as an independent franchise. They see the partnership with Selecta as an important milestone that has contributed to the growth of Snack Express in new areas. Früchtebox Express remains completely in the founders’ hands.
The Golden Idea Award is granted annually by the Swiss society for ideas and innovation management (Idee Suisse). Among the attendees of this year’s event was deputy prime minister Thomas Zwiefelhofer, who praised Stahl and Goop’s entrepreneurial achievement.
He said: “Liechtenstein has innovative entrepreneurs with a willingness to take risks to thank for its impressive economic growth in recent decades. This is precisely why such awards are so invaluable.”
