Hilti and the University of St.Gallen (HSG) have been working together in the Hilti Lab since 2013, developing various practices to increase an organization’s competitive ability. Both partners have benefited from this research cooperation.
“We jointly developed an innovative performance management model which is already having a positive effect on both the financial situation of our company and on the motivation of our employees,” Werner Wallner, head of finance at Hilti, said in a statement.
For its part, the HSG verifies theories and uses the findings in training events. Hilti is also assisting the university in a new learning strategy that will be applied in the finance academy.
The results to date have made Hilti more than willing to continue to invest in the partnership, explained Wallner.
“We still have many ideas on how we can provide innovative impulses. As a result, we are very pleased with the extension of this research cooperation agreement,” added Franz Wirnsperger, operative manager at Hilti Lab.
Over the coming three years, the partners will focus on applying the knowledge gained to the day-to-day work by better linking corporate objectives with employee potential.
