On 2 November, People's Viennaline will begin its new flight route from St.Gallen-Altenrhein to Cologne via Friedrichshafen. The entire Lake Constance region will benefit as the new transport connection is set to make the region more appealing.
According to Swiss and European analysts, transport connections boost the growth of economic areas, explains People's Airgroup in a statement. Road, rail and air transport have to contribute equally to this.
The new connection between St.Gallen-Altenrhein, Friedrichshafen and Cologne will contribute to the making the St.GallenBodenseeArea more appealing - especially as this offer will be expanded in the medium term to connect people, markets and locations around Lake Constance to another.
"What we appreciate about the departures from Friedrichshafen and Altenrhein is also appreciated by our customers and people who visit us. Let's use this 'Lake Constance flight network' to our advantage as an important building block for the future of the four countries that make up this region," said People's Air Group CEO Daniel Steffen.
Beginning on 2 November, two daily flights will be offered from Altenrhein to Cologne/Bonn airport via Friedrichshafen. Departure times are Mondays to Fridays at 6:30 am and 5:20 pm. In the opposite direction, the flights will depart from Cologne at 8:35 am and 7:25 pm or at 9:50 am and 8:40 pm from Friedrichshafen. Arrival in Altenrhein is 10:10 am and 9:00 pm.
