Listemann Technology AG is sponsoring the Green Team of the University of Stuttgart. The sponsorship will see the start of a new service for the Liechtenstein-based expert in industrial thermal processing.
The Green Team of the University of Stuttgart won a world record last year for electrically driven vehicles, according to a press release. It managed a speed of 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in under two seconds. Listemann is to support the world champions during the 2016 racing season. Its vacuum brazed aluminium heat exchangers are designed to keep the board system of the vehicle of the season, which was presented end of April, in the "green" range.
The teams first race of the season will take place at Silverstone in Britain from 14th to 17th July. Listemann explains that its sponsorship marks the start of a new service for the company: vacuum brazed components made of aluminium material with integrated channel structures.
The Green Team is part of Formula Student, an international construction competition for students that has been held in Europe since 1998. According to the team, the races take place in Europe, the USA and Asia. Participants are assessed for their performance on the racetrack, as well as their ingenuity, the cost of their car and their marketing strategy presented to a fictional investor.
