This year’s Banking Award Liechtenstein from the Liechtenstein Bankers Association and the Institute for Finance at the University of Liechtenstein was presented on Thursday at a ceremony in Vaduz, announced a statement. A jury composed of two professors from the University of Liechtenstein, an external professor and three experts from the Liechtenstein Bankers Association selected the winners.
Among them is Markus Wabning, who won the award for his bachelor’s paper entitled “The North Korea threat and its effect on the global stock markets: The case of South Korea, Japan and the USA”. The award in the master’s category went to Manuel Schneider with his paper “A Value vs. Growth Perspective on Sustainable Equity” and Adthe Hoxa for “Parametric Portfolio Policies – Applying Sector Characteristics for Strategic Asset Allocations”.
“The three topics covered by the winners couldn’t be more diverse. This exemplifies how all-encompassing and complex asset management is today,” commented Simon Tribelhorn, CEO of the Liechtenstein Bankers Association. He joined Marco Menichetti, Chair in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management at the University of Liechtenstein, to present the awards to the winners.
