A total of 30 startups applied to showcase their ideas to an audience of investors, decision makers and other entrepreneurs, and a jury selected the 10 best from Liechtenstein, Germany and Switzerland. The startups were in Schaan on Thursday at the Investor Summit Liechtenstein looking for capital of between 100,000 Swiss francs and more than a million francs for their projects.
Six of this year’s finalists came from Liechtenstein: the mobile bicycle repair shop Fixfox; Drone Champions with their spectacular drone competitions; the social media platform Strudel; Reachbird with its professional influencer marketing software; the stickers and trading cards exchange Stickermanager; and the fintech company Tradico.
Three companies came from Switzerland: the software company Advertima from St.Gallen, the hospital communications IT solutions provider Komed Health from Schlieren in the canton of Zurich, and WatchAdvisor from Baar, with its platform for watch lovers. The founder of Book a Tiger, a cleaning specialists booking service, travelled from Berlin to participate.
The summit, which was held for the sixth time, is under the patronage of the association Liechtenstein Investment Market, which happens to be a co-initiator of the new Business Angel Club Liechtenstein. The latter was presented to the public at the summit.
The Liechtenstein consulting firm Red Leafs Tax Advisory and the online platform Equity Pitcher also presented a new Liechtenstein startup fund. It should comprise ten million francs by the end of the year and will be used to help good ideas succeed on the market.
