Liemobil buses are popular
27 April 2023
According to a survey, over 60 percent of passengers are once again very satisfied with Liemobil’s quality. Three out of four passengers feel safe on board the buses. Punctuality was a negative aspect. Most of those surveyed were annual pass holders.
The transport company Liechtensteinmobil (Liemobil) is once again well received by passengers. Most customers stated that they were “very satisfied” with the quality of public transport in Liechtenstein. The only shortcoming was regarding punctuality. This is according to a press release on the spring survey.
Overall, 78 percent of the testimonies came from annual pass holders. Commuters and schoolchildren made up 67 percent. Fewer and fewer people use Liemobil buses for leisure activities and shopping. Accordingly, 35 percent travel with Liemobil several times a week outside of working hours and 48 travel two to three times a month.
The survey revealed positive results regarding safety: 76 percent of all passengers feel safe on the buses. Liemobil was only criticized for connections and punctuality, with 4 percent being very unsatisfied with this and 48 percent being very satisfied. The less favorable assessments can be traced back to sluggish traffic during the evening rush hour. Communications Manager and Member of the Board Sigvard Wohlwend commented: “The bus timetable means nothing at these times. What’s frustrating is that we only have a limited ability to sustainably optimize the punctuality of peak times.”
The customer feedback on the price-performance ratio was unexpectedly poor. Only 59 percent awarded “very good” for this, despite “unbeatably cheap subscriptions” versus prices in Switzerland.
Liemobil commissioned the polling agency LINK once again for the online survey started in 2022.
