Researchers from the University of Liechtenstein receive Dick Marsh Award

Vaduz/Porto Alegre - Researchers from the University of Liechtenstein have received the Dick Marsh Award for a conference paper on the influence of innovation management. The award was presented at this year’s ISPIM conference held in the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre.
Researchers from the University of Liechtenstein were presented with the Dick Marsh Award at this year’s meeting of the International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM). As detailed in a press release issued by the university, Marie Scheuffele, Niels Fetkenheuer and Leo Brecht were recognized for their paper entitled “An Attempt at Data-Driven Validation of Early-Stage Technology Trends”. In their reasoning, the jury explained that the trio’s paper best illustrated the influence of innovation management on technological developments out of all the research papers submitted.
For this project, the group combined bibliometric analyses of scientific publications with analysis of online job advertisements from technology companies. After gathering extensive volumes of data, the researchers then validated the practical relevance of these publications with regard to early implementation by technology-leading companies.
Co-author Marie Scheuffele presented the research findings at the ISPIM conference held in the Brazilian city of in Porto Alegre and represented the University of Liechtenstein during the discussion rounds, as the press release explains.
