The Green Mountain operating food truck at Wacken Open Air

The Green Mountain is offering hungry festivalgoers the chance to enjoy its products at the Wacken Open Air 2023. It is hoped that the vegan meat alternatives offered by the Graubünden-based start-up, which is part of Hilcona AG in Liechtenstein, could even win over meat lovers at the festival.
The Green Mountain is in attendance at this year’s Wacken Open Air 2023 festival. The start-up, which is based in Landquart in the canton of Graubünden and forms part of Hilcona AG in Liechtenstein, has made a conscious effort to secure “one of the top spots” for its food truck, as The Green Mountain writes in a press release. During the festival, the company is keen to win over meat-loving heavy metal fans with its plant-based products.
Festivalgoers can choose between a range of freshly prepared vegan delicacies. For burger fans, The Green Mountain offers a patty with caramelized onions, fresh lettuce and BBQ sauce, all served between two black burger buns. The menu also includes a “Chunks Bowl” – this involves the company’s plant-based chicken chunks served with rice and ratatouille, with a sprinkling of spring onions and pumpkin seeds to finish. It is a dish perfectly suited to anybody “looking for some vitamins and healthy protein at the festival”, according to The Green Mountain.
