University of Liechtenstein achieves top rankings once again

24 July 2020

In the latest edition of U-Multirank, the University of Liechtenstein has once more achieved several ratings of “Excellent”. The student survey was also positive for the university. Almost 100 percent of graduates find a suitable job quickly.

In this year’s edition of U-Multirank, the University of Liechtenstein has again achieved top rankings in terms of research, international teaching focus and international cooperation. U-Multirank is an independent league table created with the support of the European Commission covering 1,711 universities in 96 different countries. The University of Liechtenstein received a rating of “Excellent” for focal aspects such as external research, research publications, most-cited publications and the international focus of its Bachelor, Master and PhD programs. In the assessment of joint international publications, the University of Liechtenstein was once again ranked among the “top 25 performers”, according to a press release. “We are proud that our research has received such major international recognition. We feel that this represents confirmation of our claim that the university makes an important contribution to the attractiveness, prosperity and innovative power of the region by way of our academic research and research-led teaching”, comments Prof. Dr. Anne Brandl, Vice-Rector Research at the University of Liechtenstein, in the press release, before adding: “By providing the country with excellently trained and responsible professionals and executives, the university contributes to the value added and esteemed reputation of Liechtenstein”. Almost all of the university’s graduates find a job in their desired area that aligns with their respective field of study. This is reflected in what is known as the employability of the graduates, which stands at just under 100 percent for the University of Liechtenstein. The positive image of the university is also reflected in the student survey. The straightforward contact and interaction with lecturers, the research-led focus of the teaching and the international nature of campus life were all highlighted as particularly positive factors.
