University of Liechtenstein celebrates graduates

A total of 148 graduates from the University of Liechtenstein have now been presented with their diplomas. At the same time, several graduates were also awarded for their exceptional achievements. In addition, the university awarded two doctorates.
Last year, the graduation ceremony at the University of Liechtenstein was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, this year, graduates were once again able to attend a ceremony on campus to receive their diplomas, the University of Liechtenstein writes in a press release. In total, 148 diplomas were presented on this occasion.
Nine graduates were additionally honored for exceptional achievements at the ceremony, the press release explains further. The Swiss Werkbund promotional award was also presented for the first time, with Barbara Lydia Ruech chosen as the worthy winner of this prize. However, she was not finished there: the Master of Architecture was additionally presented with the award from the Liechtenstein Engineering and Architecture Association (LIA) for the best result on the Master’s in Architecture degree program.
The LIA award for the best Bachelor's degree in Architecture went to Lina Gasperi. Konrad Wurst (Bachelor of Business Administration) and Leo Richard Irudayam (Master of Information Systems) were delighted to receive awards from the Hilti Foundation for the Promotion of Young Engineers. The prizes from the Liechtenstein Bankers Association (LBV) for the best Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Financial Services and for the best Master's degree in Finance went to Philipp Schädler and Luca Ritter respectively. Finally, both Sebastian Klein and Florian Pommer were honored by the LBV for their outstanding Bachelor and Master theses.
At this year's graduation ceremony, two economics students were also awarded doctorates. The dissertations written by Peyman Badakhsha and Hendrik Peer Kimmerle both earned the distinction magna cum laude.
