15 September 2021

The 16th Entrepreneur Day in Vaduz was all about the leadership of tomorrow. Among those exploring the matter of leadership quality were Roche’s Chairman of the Board Christoph Franz and Ava COO Naemi Benz. The digital export talk had also taken place beforehand.

This year’s Entrepreneur Day on 14 September in Vaduz was dedicated to the leadership qualities that are required in the future. In her welcome address to the around 350 guests, Sabine Monauni defined leadership quality as the ability to take on responsibility and make difficult decisions, as the Government reported in a press release. “There is no need for autocratic and rigid leadership,” said the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs, Economy and Environment of Liechtenstein. “Rather, it is about achieving agile and conducing leadership that strikes the right balance.”

Speakers invited to the event included the Chairman of the Board of Roche Christoph Franz. The former chief executive officer of Lufthansa and Swiss International Air Lines advised leaders “to convey a sense of purpose and inspire employees”. Naemi Benz from the Swiss company Ava highlighted leadership approaches that help startups achieve rapid growth and ensure their survival.

Other talks focused on the concept of holacracy and company leadership in times of the coronavirus. Before the Entrepreneur Day, a digital export talk had taken place in collaboration with Switzerland Global Enterprise. Here, managers of companies in Liechtenstein shed light on the latest trends in export business.
