Guy Parmelin has signed the free trade agreement between the EFTA member states and the Republic of Moldova on behalf of Switzerland. According to the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, this will serve to strengthen the competitiveness of the Swiss economy.

The Ivoclar Group has opened its own company car park at its headquarters in Schaan. It has 13 floors with around 970 available parking spaces. There are 30 charging stations for electric vehicles. Additionally, solar panels have been built on the building’s roof.

Electromobility company Designwerk and KAISER, a Liechtenstein company specializing in sewer cleaning and and industrial waste disposal, are starting series production of the first electric vehicle designed for sewer cleaning with water recovery. The vehicle will reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80 per cent.

The public sector in Liechtenstein generated a budget surplus of just under 177 million Swiss francs in 2021. Both income and expenditure were down on the prior year. Government spending amounted to 22.6 percent of GDP.
