Hilti battery-powered devices also impress in terms of design
The battery-powered devices in the Nuron product series from Hilti have been awarded a total of 21 prizes at the Red Dot Awards and iF Design Awards. Four Nuron products even claimed awards in both product design competitions.

The Liechtenstein Bankers Association is seeking to harness the power of gaming to meet its sustainability aims. In partnership with the start-up Operal Gaming, it has developed the online game Ocean Cleanup to mark World Ocean Day 2023, through which plastic is recovered from oceans in the real world.

Ivoclar opens own car park
The Ivoclar Group has opened its own company car park at its headquarters in Schaan. It has 13 floors with around 970 available parking spaces. There are 30 charging stations for electric vehicles. Additionally, solar panels have been built on the building’s roof.

Designwerk and KAISER build electric sewer cleaning vehicle
Electromobility company Designwerk and KAISER, a Liechtenstein company specializing in sewer cleaning and and industrial waste disposal, are starting series production of the first electric vehicle designed for sewer cleaning with water recovery. The vehicle will reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80 per cent.

Liechtenstein posts budget surplus
The public sector in Liechtenstein generated a budget surplus of just under 177 million Swiss francs in 2021. Both income and expenditure were down on the prior year. Government spending amounted to 22.6 percent of GDP.

Hilti presents good start to the year
The Hilti Group has recorded global sales of 2.14 billion Swiss francs in the first four months of 2023, which is 5.4 percent higher than the same period of the previous year. Double-digit growth was achieved in local currencies in Europe, America, and Asia/Pacific.

Construction of LLB office building has started
In the center of Vaduz, work has started on the new office building for the Liechtensteiner Landesbank (LLB). It will provide space for 260 employees and is expected to be ready for use in summer 2025. HRS is the sole contractor.

Parcel machines installed in Vaduz and Balzers
Liechtensteinische Post AG has installed a parcel machine in both Vaduz and Balzers. The machines allow parcels to be picked up and returns to be processed irrespective of post office opening hours. At the beginning of 2022, Liechtensteinische Post commissioned the first parcel machines of this kind at four locations.

Two b_smart hotels in Arbon
As of 1 May, b_smart selection will be taking over Hotel Müllers in Arbon in the canton of Thurgau. Another b_smart hotel is scheduled to open in August 2023. The new building with 63 rooms and suites is within walking distance of Hotel Müllers. Guests will therefore have a choice of two hotels from the Liechtenstein hotel operator in future.
