LGT Bank prevails with investment advice for foundations
The inspection organization Fuchs Richter Prüfinstanz has named LGT Bank as one of the best asset management companies for foundations. The bank owned by the Princely House of Liechtenstein came fifth in a comparison of 20 financial institutes. It scored well with its investment proposal, investment competence, and advisory expertise.

The Green Mountain wins PETA Vegan Food Award
The Green Mountain’s vegan chicken fillet has won a PETA Vegan Food Award 2022. This is not the first prestigious award for the Graubünden startup, which is part of Hilcona AG from Liechtenstein. Last year, the company received the Swiss Vegan Award.

Designwerk and Kaiser launch the first e-sewer vehicle
Designwerk and Kaiser have jointly developed the first fully electric vehicle for sewer cleaning operations. The e-sewer cleaner is set to replace the first diesel vehicles from mid-2023 onwards. In addition to cutting CO2 emissions, the vehicle will also reduce water consumption.

Liechtenstein financial sector becoming more transparent
Liechtenstein has made up ground in the Financial Secrecy Index. The Principality’s financial sector ranks in 54th place, well behind those countries that the UK-based Tax Justice Network classifies as the world’s worst tax havens. The USA and Switzerland lead the way in the index. Luxembourg is ranked in 5th place.

Hilti makes positive start to 2022
In the first four months of 2022, the Hilti Group generated total sales in excess of 2 billion Swiss francs, which equates to a rise of 5.6 percent on the same period of the previous year. High growth rates were observed in the Americas and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa sales regions.

Trust sector generates third-highest level of value added
The Liechtenstein trust sector generated gross value added of just under 1 billion Swiss francs in 2018. Its direct share of gross value added of slightly over 11 percent was the third-highest by sector. This is a finding from a study published on behalf of the Liechtenstein Institute of Professional Trustees and Fiduciaries.
